The ICT support section at Murang’a Technical Training Institute plays a vital role in supporting the institution’s academic and administrative functions. Our core duties encompass the following key areas:

  • Hardware & Software Support: Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to computers, peripherals, and software applications used by staff and students.
  • Network Maintenance: Ensuring smooth and secure network connectivity across the institution.
  • User Training: Providing training and support to staff and students on the use of computer systems and software.
  • System Security: Implementing and maintaining robust security measures to protect the institution’s IT infrastructure and data.
  1. ERP System Administration:
  • System Management: Managing and maintaining the institution’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, ensuring its smooth and efficient operation.
  • Data Integrity: Ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the ERP system.
  • User Support: Providing training and support to staff on the effective use of the ERP system.
  • Report Generation: Generating reports from the ERP system for academic, administrative, and financial purposes.
  1. Internet Connectivity:
  • Network Management: Managing and maintaining the institution’s internet connection, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Network Monitoring: Monitoring network traffic and performance to identify and resolve potential issues.
  • Security Measures: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the institution’s network from cyber threats.
